Easter Festivities 2019

Every year we try to get the kids together for some Easter activities and so far, it has worked.

This year one of our favorite place for an egg hunt and Easter fun was at Powerline Church in Elon.

I love taking my kids to the egg hunt there during Easter and the Trunk-or-Treat during Halloween.

The egg hunt is separated by ages and allows the smaller kids the opportunity to get their candy-filled eggs without being trampled by the older kids.

Each age group was given a designated start time and filled their buckets until all the eggs were collected.  Just like in previous years Powerline did not disappoint. They had plenty of plastic eggs for everyone. If both my kids having full Easter baskets counts for something!

Another reason I enjoy taking the kids to Powerline is because they offer a variety of activities for them to go; sidewalk chalk, bubbles, a bouncy house and much more. Not only is there a lot to do, but the Easter Bunny loves getting its picture taken and is super friendly.

Now don’t get me wrong Easter isn’t just about the bunny, eggs, and fun activities but truly about the resurrection of Christ if you’re into that. That doesn’t mean kids cannot enjoy attending a few egg hunts or getting pictures with the Easter Bunny. Life is what you make of it and children should have the opportunity to have a good time.

As my children age, I strongly believe these traditions will fade, but hope the memories will remain. I also hope that when they become parents they will pass along these traditions to their children. Enjoy, the good times and savior the momentrs for they won't be children forever.

Until next time!
