My first published article

How it works
You choose the stories you want to cover,
select the event, prepare the questions and interview people in attendance at your chosen event.
That's the easy part... Writing the actual article becomes a challenge when you're constantly rewinding and pausing your recorder.
After that comes the editing part. Yeah this may happen several times. No need to feel discouraged. It only helps to improve the story.
Once the story gets the OK it will go live on the website. It sounds fun and exciting. Finally all the hard work has paid off.Well I will say this.. if your instructor gives you a story take it.
Here's why.....
1. More than likely it's to cover an event not happening on campus.
2.Articles issued to you specifically not only get posted on the college website, but get published in the local area newspaper.

So yeah I'm a student reporter, but I will officially have my story printed in not one, but two area newspapers. The Laurel Star.
